The ALSTOM-designed rotary atomizer, spray dryer absorber and low-ratio, reverse air fabric filters will be installed for control of gaseous and particulate air pollutants, including SO2, SO3 and particulate matter. ALSTOM’s DFGD system is required to meet future environmental standards for air quality in the region. Extensive engineering studies conducted by the Washington Group and ALSTOM over the past 24 months resulted in the development of an innovative layout and design that will provide the client with maximum reliability and availability for this demanding application. ALSTOM’s scope of supply includes design, supply and commissioning services for the DFGD system.
