ALSTOM Finland Oy will supply the
electrostatic precipitators for the new soda recovery boiler and for the new
lime sludge kiln.

ALSTOM and Botnia S.A, Uruguay,
have signed a contract for the delivery of four electrostatic precipitators
(ESPs) to Botnia S.A.s
green field pulp mill located by the town of Fray Bentos
in Western Uruguay. ALSTOMs share of the
order value is close to 5 million euros.

The order is comprised of three concrete-bottom electrostatic
precipitators and flue gas ducting for the new soda recovery boiler and of a
new electrostatic precipitator for the new lime sludge kiln. The recovery
boiler capacity is 4450 tDS/d with dry solids content 80%. The lime sludge
kiln production capacity is 830 t/d. ALSTOMs scope of supply includes material
delivery, erection supervision and commissioning of the ESPs.

The erection at the site will start in the beginning of May 2006 and
commissioning is scheduled for July 2007. The pulp mill will produce one
million tonnes of eucalyptus pulp per year.

Botnias owners (UPM, M-real and Metsäliitto) are large paper producers
using increasing amounts of eucalyptus pulp. This pulp mill project is the
biggest industrial investment in Uruguay's history. The project is
also the biggest industrial private sector investment by Finland abroad.

ALSTOM has been supplying air pollution control systems to the pulp and
paper industry for over 50 years, with nearly 500 installations worldwide
