Angers CITADIS, a tramway painted in all the colors of the
rainbow

The modular nature of CITADIS enables each metropolitan area
to customize not only the colors, but also the design of its own
tramway, in particular its “nose”. The city opted for
tramsets on the colors of rainbow. The “nose”
reminiscent of the stem of a ship. Its windows offer generous
panoramic views over the city.

The
13 km line will be equipped with APS
ground-level power. Trams will therefore be able to operate
“wire free” over a total of 1.5 kilometers, thus
avoiding the need to install overhead lines in the historic
center.

 The 17 Angers Citadis tramsets are scheduled to
enter into service
