At approximately 12pm (11am GMT), despite the strike
affecting public transport in France, the first train arrived
in the station.

Thanks to the extension of high speed operation to the entirety
of the trip, it allows journey times to be reduced by 20
minutes, to 2 hours 15 minutes, the same time as it takes to
travel from Paris to Lyon.

The London-Brussels route will now take 1 hour 51 minutes, and
the London-Lille journey 1 hour 20 minutes.

In July, Alstom Transport delivered to its customer Union
Railways North (URN) the final section of the Paris-London
line, located between Ebbsfleet (Kent) and St. Pancras station.
