The contract was signed with Foster Wheeler who already
during the past summer received the order for the complete
boiler island for the power plant. Since it  is a
multifuel circulating fluidised bed boiler with large
flexibility in terms of fuel composition it will imply tough
requests for the flue gas cleaning system to fulfill the
approved emission levels for the plant.

- An early and well performed screening and positioning of
ALSTOM by Global Power Sales, our knowledge in the process, an
optimal lay-out of delivered equipment  together with a
good commercial approach contributed to win this project, Peter
Braun, Sales Project Manager comments.

The order value is in the range of 40 MSEK and the
commissioning of the plant is planned to be in the first
quarter of 2010. The new  plant  at Igelsta (see
attached phantom picture) will be when finalised the largest
biomass fuelled combined heat and power plant in Sweden
with 240 MW thermal load. The produced district heating will be
supplied to the growing demand in Södertälje and
south suburban areas of Stockholm. The electricity production
is comparable high (85MW) as a result of the economic
incentives based on the green certificate system in place in
Sweden to promote new renewable electricity production.
