Alstom provides the ICC (Integrated Control Center) of
Bologna node - Italy

Thanks to the ICC, the performance in terms of traffic
management and reliability of the 800 trains that go daily
through this major railways node will be improved. The system
will also allow passengers safety to be reinforced. The
ICC will enter into commercial service in 2008.

From the central office in Bologna Central Station, the system
will manage 34 peripheral posts and 10 train stops, thanks to
four main sub systems: one for traffic and secure control, one
for diagnostic and maintenance, one for passengers information
(monitors, led panels, loudspeakers), and one for tele
surveillance, anti intrusion and fire detection.

Project coordination will be managed by Alstom in Bologna
(Italy), while the system software will be supplied by the
R&D centre in Meudon (France).
