Alstom signs long-term maintenance contract worth 317 million for Terga power plant in Algeria

Alstom has signed a 20-year long-term maintenance contract with Algerian
O&M Company SPA for the Sharikat Kehraba Terga (SKT) power plant
located in Terga in North West Algeria.
The contract scope includes planned and unplanned maintenance activities including parts and supervision services for the three GT26 gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and the associated auxiliaries.
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Terga 1,200 MW gas fired power plant was awarded to Alstom in December 2007 and commercial operation is scheduled for 2011. Under this contract, Alstom is delivering a full turnkey combined-cycle power plant integrating in-house core plant components built around Alstoms advanced class GT26 gas turbine with best operational flexibility. The execution of the long-term maintenance contract will begin when the plant starts commercial operation.
This new contract follows two other service agreements that Alstom has recently signed in North Africa.
