This last weekend was especially dedicated to overspeed tests
at up to 340km/h and 360 km/h: noise in the carriages and cab,
raising of the catenary at very high speed, the damper set and
the traction drive behaviour were assessed. Comfort measurements
were completed at 300 km/h, the commercial speed for NTV, the
Italian operator that already ordered 25 AGV, and emergency
braking tests were led at 320 km/h on dry rails and
"soapy-watered rails.

The general results of these 12 nights of tests are
very satisfactory, the AGV has travelled almost
7200km
, said Laurent Baron, VHST Single Deck Platform
Director. Data reduction and analysis may now begin. This process
should last for 2 to 3 months.
