3rd station of new São Paulo Metro Line 4 is launched with Alstom's infrastructure supply

On March 28th, the governor of São Paulo State, Geraldo Alckmin and the Transports Secretary, Jurandir Fernandes, among other authorities, São Paulo Metro representatives, the press and the community of São Paulo inaugurated the 3rd Station (Butantã) of the Metro's new Line 4. The first two stations, Paulista and Faria Lima, were delivered in 2010.

With an area of 13.290 sq. m., Butantã Station will e able to receive more than 21,000 passengers per day.

Alstom, as a part of the consortium Via Amarela, supplied the infrastructure for Line 4, including the power supply (high, medium and low voltage, besides the rigid catenary system), telecommunication systems (monitoring of stations with cameras, telephone system via VoIP, and the systems of TV and sound for passengers information at the stations), local control system (information from the stations to the operational control center) and auxiliary equipments (escalators, elevators and air conditioned for the technical rooms ).

Alstom supply was delivered according to the customer's schedule in order to allow a successful operation.
