Alstom Power awarded the Golden Laurel in the field of Innovativeness 2012

On 27 November 2012, during a formal gala held in Warsaw, prestigious prizes were awarded in the 2^nd edition of the Polish National Competition The Laurel in the field of Innovativeness for the Stanisaw Staszic awards called Staszice. The Laurel in the field of Innovativeness is the competition held by the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations, this year under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment.

The purpose of the competition is to promote and increase awareness of the achievements of authors of innovative solutions (products and technologies) implemented on the Polish market.

Alstom received recognition in the Electric power generation category for the Retrofit of 13K215 steam power turbine innovative solution dedicated to Polish power plants. The prize-winning solution by Alstom extends a power plant lifecycle and increases its efficiency and output with a view to securing the future needs on the energy market. The award was presented to Alstom Power Management Board Vice President, Mr Robert Butzke.
