Alstom urges EC to adopt 2030 binding renewable energy targets

Alstom has launched an initiative among industry players to call upon the European Commission to set binding renewable energy targets in the EU 2030 Climate & Energy framework
The call, supported by 77 companies and federations in the energy sector, has culminated in an open letter to the Commission, which is currently working on the Green Paper that will set out proposals for the 2030 framework.
Binding commitments are already in place up until 2020, and the letter urges the Commission to continue in that vein, calling on “all policymakers to support a strong and ambitious regulatory framework for the years to come”.
