Alstom Grid Strengthens UISOL Energy IT Professional Services Team

New hires support expansion of UISOL utility integration and consulting

In an effort to continue to meet the growing demands of electric utilities, Alstom is pleased to announce the expansion of its Utility Integration Solutions, Inc.(UISOL) team with new hires Joe Moran, Jim Cowley, Jana Davis and Tehseen Naqvi. UISOL, an activity within Alstom Grid’s Network Management Solutions business, provides customers with access to an array of consulting and systems integration services.

Joe Moran has been appointed to lead the UISOL Consulting & Design practice. Joe comes to Alstom from DNV Kema where he was responsible for KEMA's management of the EMS/SCADA/DMS and NERC Compliance groups. Moran is a registered professional engineer with bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering and an MBA from Villanova University. He has twenty-nine years of experience working for and with utilities, ISOs, and market participants in the electric real-time systems marketplace. He brings extensive industry experience to lead the consulting practice in such areas as enterprise architecture design, technology roadmaps, control center systems planning, testing and big data analytics. 

Alstom is also pleased to announce the addition of three experienced staff members to the UISOL team:

• Jim Cowley, Business Consultant in the Systems Integration practice.  With fifteen years in the utility industry, Jim brings strong implementation and operational experience to support OMS/DMS projects.
• Jana Davis, PMP, Project Manager and Consultant in the Systems Integration practice. Jana brings twenty years of experience implementing utility distribution operations solutions including OMS, GIS and Work Management Systems (WMS). 
• Tehseen Naqvi, Senior EMS Project Engineer in the Engineering and Support Services practice.  Tehseen brings 30 years of engineering background in EMS/GMS/SCADA including experience with Alstom’s e-terraplatform grid management solution.
