Alstom presents innovative mobility solutions for Latin American cities in Expo Europa 360 in Quito
October 10, 2018 – Alstom will be present at the 2018 international edition of Expo Europa 360 in Quito, Ecuador, in a dedicated Smart City conference, showcasing its expertise in mobility and presenting Mastria, a multimodal management solution that demonstrates the way advanced data analytics will be central to the future of urban mobility.
Expo Europa 360 is the largest cross-sectorial European encounter in Latin America. The event, which is endorsed by the European Union as well as by European Commerce Chambers such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Franco-Ecuadorian Industries (CCIFEC) association, aims to further connect both continents and promote international trade. The event will be held at the New Metropolitan Convention Center of Quito, between October 10th and 13th.
Edouard Vagogne, Signaling General Director for Alstom's North LAM region, will present the innovative Mastria system, a multimodal solution that allows the efficient management and fluid operation of public transport networks.
"Alstom has a strong pillar based in technological innovation solutions that meets the growing demand for sustainable mobility systems. Being part of Expo Europa 360, we have the opportunity to discuss these initiatives that will successfully transform the mobility of Latin America countries’”, declared Edouard Vagogne.
Thanks to Mastria, all the mobility actors in a given city are linked, including buses, trams and metro networks – even taxis, shared cars, bikes and city security systems. The objective of Mastria is to maximize fluidity between all the means of transportation in a city and to orchestrate passenger routes, optimizing their mobility.
Alstom has been playing a key role in the development of infrastructure in Ecuador for more than 30 years. Part of ACTN and GME-CITA consortia, Alstom has been working alongside the Municipality of Cuenca for the provision, installation and commissioning of the Cuenca Tramway project.
