Patrick Fragman (45) has been appointed head of Nuclear business in the Thermal Power Sector, the Alstom division in charge of infrastructure and services of thermal power generation. Beginning on 1 July he will replace Patrick Ledermann. Patrick Fragman was previously Vice President Environmental Control Systems and Carbon Capture & Storage. He is a member of the management committee and reports to Philippe Cochet, President of Alstom Thermal Power. Patrick Ledermann (58) has been named Director of Sales for all Power activities (Alstom Thermal Power and Alstom Renewable Power) in India and Director of Alstom Thermal Power in India. He reports to Philippe Cochet in his capacity as head of the Alstom Power India Limited (APIL) subsidiary.

Patrick Fragman is an engineer and member of the Corps des Mines. He became a civil servant in 1992 and in 1997 was named industrial affairs and nuclear safety advisor to the French environment minister. In 1999 he joined Alstom, working first in the Contracting branch and then at Alstom Transport beginning in 2001, where he held positions such as Head of Project Office, Head of Rolling Stock in Canada and Director of Projects in the Americas region. Patrick Fragman moved to Alstom Power in 2006, taking over as head of its steam power plant boiler retrofit business. Then in 2009, he was named Director of Environmental Control Systems and CO2 Capture activities.

Patrick Ledermann is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines de Paris. He directed the Nuclear Construction Inspection Office from 1980 to 1984, followed by the Engineering Department in the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), Military Applications Division from 1985 to 1990, the Areva plant in The Hague and led projects in Arevas Fuel division from 1991 to 2001. He went on to become Deputy Director of Nuclear Energy at the CEA from 2002 to 2007, before joining Alstom in October 2007 to head up the Nuclear activity at Alstom Power.
